This site is full of useful information and resources that should help anyone researching their Jewish family history. Its most popular components are the JewishGen Discussion Group, the JewishGen Family Finder (a database of some 300,000 surnames and towns), the comprehensive directory of InfoFiles, ShtetLinks for over 200 communities, and a variety of databases such as the ShtetlSeeker and Jewish Records Indexing-Poland. JewishGen's online Family Tree of the Jewish People contains data on more than two million people. There's also a mailing list and discussion group on the site plus a list of links to other projects and activities.

If you're researching relatives that lived in the Channel Islands, this site, dedicated to Datestones may be of interest. Datestones (or Marriage Stones) are an architectural feature of many Channel Island houses and contain the initials of a husband and wife and a marriage date.
