This site sells itself as 'probably the
RELATIVES REMEMBERED: Create an online tribute for a small fee and with next to no knowledge fastest online ordering service for birth, marriage and death certificates for England and Wales.' It's a bold statement but the site is well organised and provides the Internet-savvy public with a service they have been crying out for, for some time. It's also a little cheeky, asking visitors to search for reference numbers from FreeBMD or 1837online and then return to 'order them at lower prices'. The more information you can provide, the cheaper the service will be. If you have the full reference (including Quarter) a certificate will cost £9, and that includes the first class postage charge (although courier services for quicker delivery are also available).
As well as accessing BMD
certificates from 1837 through to the present, the site also offers copies of a particular census, searches for wills and copies of divorce certificates. There are adoption tracing, missing persons searches, Companies House searches, links to old and new map sites and a lost London streets section.
